Circuit Stream Launches Unity Developer Bootcamp In Five Universities
Dejan Gajsek
The Unity Developer Bootcamp will be offered at five universities across North America through Circuit Stream's university partner network. Students can begin the application process with their preferred university now, with the view to starting their education in October 2022.
Since 2021, Circuit Stream has worked with universities to bring students into Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality development fields. Initially, launching their flagship course, XR Development with Unity. This 10-week live online course introduces the fundamentals of creating XR applications with Unity.
Now, in the efforts to help students reach the next level in this rapidly growing industry, Circuit Stream is delighted to expand its XR development offering by launching the inaugural Unity Developer Bootcamp at the following five institutions:
- UBC Extended Learning
- University of San Diego Professional and Continuing Education
- University of Nevada, Reno Extended Studies
- Syracuse University College of Professional Studies
- University of Toronto School of Continuing Studies
Circuit Stream’s University partners are at the leading edge of technology. All are committed to offering the best online instruction in rapidly expanding areas, such as the use of immersive technologies in key industries, including healthcare, manufacturing, and transportation.
Why Circuit Stream is launching a Bootcamp
The demand for real-time 3D skills (RT3D) has grown 601% faster than the overall job market in recent years, with high growth projected to continue. Statista research on immersive technology growth is clear:
- XR Headset revenue will hit $4.4B in 2023—doubling the figures from 2021.
- Virtual reality revenue will reach $5.1B in 2023—almost double the $2.6B spent in 2018.
- Total immersive technology revenue is expected to reach $12.3B in 2023—up from $9.2B in 2021.
As the market demand heats up, 60% of employers expect they will become more reliant on people with advanced digital skills over the next five years. The Unity Developer Bootcamp will offer people the best way to learn the skills they need to quickly enter this industry, and succeed.
Everyone at Circuit Stream is excited about this next step in the ongoing campaign to elevate the standard of education for RT3D skills and mixed reality (XR) technologies.
When asked about this new offering, Circuit Stream Co-Founder Mike Jarrell had this to say: “We’re thrilled that our University partners have approved this new course and its curriculum! It shows that our partners are committed to staying at the front of immersive technology and are providing their students with best-in-class XR education opportunities."
